The average Brit doesn't, either. But then, we're not encouraged to. We're encouraged to doff our caps, and not think for ourselves - oh, except when we're encouraged to 'use our common sense' so we can be blamed when it all goes wrong. And we're certainly not to think at all about our government, let alone think critically about it.
