People smoked everywhere!

Cigarette smoking was the thing to do. They were advertised freely in magazines and billboards; their glamour personified; their harmful effects unknown.
When I was a kid, Dad smoked in the car — with the windows closed!

People smoked everywhere! The non-smokers were considered the anti-social ones. How times have changed. Fab!
